Worthy Causes

I don't know about you, but on a daily basis my mail box is inundated with numerous requests for donations to dozens of very worthy causes. I try to give what I can, but I cannot afford to donate to all those who ask. Even if I give just $10 to each, it could end up being a total of $70! And that is just in one day! I also have more address labels and cards than I could ever use, especially since I do so much over the internet now and do not need 1,000 address labels! For quite a few years I have been donating small amounts regularly to the Paralyzed Veterans of America. A couple of months ago as I sat down to pay bills and work on my budget, I went through an extremely large stack of donation solicitations. I would like to give to all of them, but I just cannot afford it. So I chose 4 to give quarterly donations to. My worthy causes are the PVA, Habitat for Humanity, National Wildlife Federation, and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. These, are not, however, written in stone.
