GIS/Trans, Ltd. (1999 - Present) (GIS is a wholly owned subsidiary of bd Systems) Designing and developing multimedia presentations, writing training plans, design and develop coursework, develop and edit a system programmer's guide, system administrator's guide, and program brochures. Application testing and application demonstrations.

bd Systems, Inc. (1998- 1999) I developed the Information Technology Strategic Plan for The Air Quality Management District(AQMD). I developed and taught training classes for Outlook 97, Microsoft Word 97, and Excel 97.I designed and developed on-line help systems for the in-house developed LDST program, and the PSM program. I also designed and devloped the on-line help system for the bd developedAir Force inventory program, BIAS. This was a major six-month project and required close customerinterface.

bd Systems, Inc. (1996 - 1998) I have supported the in RFP preparation by researching and preparing a Statement of Work (SOW) for an imagingsystem Request for Proposal (RFP).I supported the IT Help Desk at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and worked as Help Desk Lead. I was the sole bd employee selected to be a member of the training team contracted by the Defense Contract Management Command (DCMC) to train government employees in a new, district-wide program. I traveled to the DCMC West District's Contract Administration Offices (CAOs) (Wichita, KS; Milwaukee,WI; Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; Salt Lake City, UT) and trained all functional users in the ALERTS application. I used RoboHELP to design and create on-line help systems for the major user systems of the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD). I developed the on-line help system for Finance Accounts Receivable (FINS), Permits, Compliance, and the Source Test Information Management System (STIMS). I also developed the SCAQMD's standards for on-line help systems. I wrote the article, How to Build a Basic Web Page with HTML for the company's employee newsletter.

bd Systems, Inc. (1991 - 1996) I provided computer, user, and network support to the Program Executive Officer at LAAFB. I have supported the Corporate Office IS Department. Wrote and edited IS Department articles for the company's newsletter as well as general information articles for the newsletter. I have also edited and written company policies and procedures and co-edited a Network User's Guide. I used extensive computer knowledge and experience in preparing briefings and other computer generated presentations and reports. I was able to provid assistance to others when questions and problems arose concerning the use of Windows and Windows applications. In supporting the Help Desk function at the corporate offices, I was responsible for answering support calls and e-mail to the Help Desk. I answered user support questions, or assigned the problem to the appropriate Technician. Another responsibility was to maintain the Problem and Action Tracking System (PATS) for the Help Desk and provid in-house training to the corporate office staff in the use of the General Office version of this system. I was also responsible for the daily tape back-up each evening of the network and took on LAN Administration duties. I also provided off-site training in Windows95 and the MSOffice 7.0 suite of programs. I was self-taught in Windows 95, MSOffice 7.0 and RoboHELP 3.0 and 95. I know HTML and maintain my own Home Page on the Web. I came to bd as the Personnel Administrative Assistant and assisted in the hire-in process during bd's first major growth spurt. I also assisted in the editing and creation of the Employee Handbook and the Office Support Handbook.

IATS, Inc. (1990 - 1991) Here I prepared written and photographic documentation of aircraft damage and the repair process; of aircraft pilot training, and of the professional visits by the Maryland State Police to the Japanese National Police Agency. I edited documents that had been translated from Japanese to English insuring proper grammatical structure and also insuring the integrity of the document remained intact. I wrote the company's advertising material. Another responsibility was to locate aircraft parts, obtain pricing and availability. I also prepared Purchase Orders and Invoices andobtained FAA Airworthiness tags and generated the required paperwork to ship the parts to overseas customers. Being responsible for general office procedures and inventorying and ordering office supplies was another part of my daily responsibilities.

Hughes Aircraft Company - Radar Systems Group - (1989 - 1990) As the Administrative Aide in the Document Distribution Center, I wrote instructions for each of the tasks in the DDC and was responsible for updates. I also wrote job instructions for the Mail Services Department. I was also given writing assignments that varied from creating letters for the supervisor's signature to writing and designing company forms. I was responsible for updating procedures for the DDC in close conjunction with the Systems and Procedures department. I coordinated the distribution of Military Specifications and Standards and maintained the user database. I was the one responsible for gathering andinputting the group updates for the Company Organizational Directory and assisted in the transformation of manual inputs to computerized inputs. I acted as Forms Administrator helping customers decide if a new form was needed, and then aiding in its design and facilitating its origination and printing. I organized data to create productivity charts for the Information Media Department and created other required reports.

Hughes Aircraft Company - Space And Communications Group - (1987 - 1989) As Administrative Assistant Sr., I was responsible for handling communications for the department manager and assistant manager. I was selected to assist Directive Systems with editing and proofreading policy, procedure and instructive documents. I assisted the furniture office by preparing move forms, and provided assistance to the parking services, audio visual and office equipment repair sections as well. It was my responsibility to coordinate fund drives, the Red Cross blood drives, department holiday functions and other projects as required.

Continental Airlines (1986 - 1989) As a Reservations Sales Agent, I made airline reservations and planned trips for customers calling Continental. I also handled flight information requests and many customer service questions.

Classics Hawaii (1985 - 1986) As Office Manager and Administrative Assistant, I managed the daily activities of this travel office. I was responsible for writing copy for advertisers for the weekly radio program aired by the travel company and air time billing. I planned and organized group tours, made airline and hotel reservations, kept the supply inventory current and trained other office personnel in ticketing and reservations procedures.

Zeus Audio Systems (1983 - 1985) As Executive Assistant to the company's president, I managed the front office, scheduled out-of-town meetings and arranged all travel. It was my responsibility to communicated with the nationwide area sales representatives, draft contractual agreements and schedule product manufacturing. I also maintained the schedule for the company's music rehearsal studio.

Teacher (1978 - 1983) As a high school English teacher, I was responsible for preparing juniors and seniors for their college writing exams. I was the faculty advisor for the school newspaper. I have taught writing skills to junior high school students and elementary students.
