Memory Albums (Scrapbooking) Back in about 1995, someone told me about this new thing she had learned and she showed me a strap-hinge book with a big blank white sheet of paper and 4 pictures that had been cut into circles and tiny writing around them. I have to say I wasn't very impressed and didn't pay much attention to it! Then, in 1997 I was wandering up and down the aisles of a Michael's looking for a portable hobby, and I saw a kit for scrapbooking! It had a 3-ring binder, some wavy scissors, glue stick, stickers, and paper. I was set! I did attend one class sponsored by a home sales scrapbooking company. But, for my first albums I used 3-ring binders and top-loading sheets and purchased all the materials I knew about at Michael's. But it really wasn't until last year when I wanted to do a special album for our England Vacation that I discovered there were clubs, groups, and stores dedicated to scrapbooking! Wow! What a surprise! I was overwhelmed to say the least when I started finding out about stores completely filled with all sorts of goodies for my albums! I've been to two day-long crops, 2 all nighters, a 3-day crop in Vegas and I'm going to a 3-day crop in San Jose in July! I'm hooked! Scrapbook and Stamping Stores I've Shopped In Scrap Fest 2001! Sponsored by Strictly Scrapbooking I went last year and had so much fun! Here's a link to their website for more info! It is in held in Buena Park, California Hope to see you there!
