Janet Evanovich - Seven Up

Wow! Stephanie Plum is at it again! Is she really going to marry Morrelli? Where does Ranger fit in? Where's DeChooch? What happened to Grandma Mazur? And oh no, Dougie and Mooner have disappeared! Stephanie has her hands full in this one! And what is going on with her perfect sister Valerie? We once more are kept on the edge of our seats, and laughing our heads off at her antics! Plus, we get frightened over and over again! And what is it with two mob guys that keep breaking into her apartment?! Oh, and our dear friend Joyce shows up again! The only problem with finishing this book, is, now I have to wait a whole year for the next one! If you have an idea on what to call book number 8, go to www.evanovich.com and enter the contest! Maybe you'll end up in the next book! I just adore Stephanie and you will too, but start at the beginning! See you at the mortuary! Save me some cookies!

Janet Evanovich - Hot Six

If you haven't become a Stephanie Plum fan by now, there's no hope for you! This time we follow Stehpanie around along with two gansters and her dear friend (not!) Joyce Barnhardt! Last time Stephanie had a midge move in with her, this time it's Grandma Mazur! We meet a couple more characters, the Dealer and Mooner. I liked these guys, I hope we see them again! This time Ranger is the FTA instead of the Apprehension Agent! And what a ride! Stephanie is climbing trees, walking dogs, taking old gangsters out for cigarettes and trying to avoid being runover or burned by another FTA! If you've not started this series, you must! What are you waiting for?! But, you must start with the first one! So hurry up and get started, because number 7 is coming out this June!

Special Note: I got to meet Janet Evanovich at the Festival of Books and sit in on a panel she was on with Stephen Cannell, Martin Smith, and Robert Crais! Wow! I also chatted with her a tiny bit when she signed a couple of books for me! How exciting!

Janet Evanovich - High Five

This is the 5th Stephanie Plum book and she is really in for it this time!In this store Stephanie has to find her missing uncle - and her aunt doesn't seem too upset! So what is that all about? She gets an unwanted, and short roommate, there's some fake bookie following her, and of course, we've got Morelli and what about Ranger? What is it with this guy? Stephanie is not having much luck with bounty hunting, and has to pay the rent. So Ranger offers to help her out with some security jobs. You've got to check them out! Once more Evanovich gives us a great story, laughs, and a lot of scary stuff. This is a definite must read. The next book, Hot Six is on my list!

Janet Evanovich - Four to Score

I just love Stephanie! In this story she is looking for Maxine! Maxine is leaving clues for her boyfriend, but Stephanie is in charge of figuring them out. Lula and Grandma Mazur are back on the scene, as is Morelli! Stephanie faces some new competition in the bounty hunter business, and is accused of being the third wheel in a triangle, but she doesn't know which triangle! We once more are treated to a lot of action and Stephanie's great sense of humor and commentary on life! You must continue the series by reading this one! You'll not be disappointed!

Janet Evanovich - Three To Get Ready

Once more we find Stephanie trying to be a tough bounty hunter! This time she is looking for the neighborhood candy man, Uncle Moe! And everyone thinks she is mean for doing so! But, read on, and we find out that not only are drug dealers dying, but...oh wait, I don't want to spoil anything! If you have started reading the Stephanie Plumb series, you will love this addidtion! However, if you have not started, you must! From the beginning!

Janet Evanovich - Two for the Dough

I really do like Stephanie! She is funny, gutsy and I think I'd probably be great friends with her. In this story, instead of looking for Morrelli, she's looking for his cousin. She shows us her neighborhood and the people that make it up, along with the really seedy side of American community life. Her "burgh" is small-townish even though it is in New Jersey. Most of us only know about the "tough" side. I've never been anywhere in New Jersey except the Newark Airport. So I enjoy seeing more of it through the eyes of Stephanie. You have to love grandma Mazur also. She's a kick. This is another very recommended book! Buy it today and read it. You will get a kick out of it as much as I did.

Janet Evanovich - One For The Money

This book was published in 1994, so I definitely must look to see if there have been more Stephanie Plum books! I liked Stephanie. She is from New Jersey, tough, yet very vulnerable. And very funny. She has lost her job. Has hocked eveything possible to keep going, gets her Mazda Miata repossesed. In short, she is hard up for money and a job so goes to cousin Vinnie, a bail bondsman. And that is where the fun begins. She becomes a bounty hunter! Now don't think this is a complete comedy, it is a murder mystery, and has some very definite real terror, especially the type of terror that frightens women with the worst thing that could ever happen to her. This story was good, keeps you laughing, and keeps your fingers gripped on the edge of the chair all at once. I think you will like Stephanie. Oh yeah, when her car gets repoed she decides to "commandeer" the new Explorer of the guy she's out to get!
